At nearly 4,000 feet the Anza Valley gets real winter: hard frosts from November, regular snow, and nights in the teens on the coldest weeks. A lot of homes out here on the acreage lots heat primarily with a wood stove, which is why we sell more full cords in Anza than anywhere else we deliver.

Oak is the right wood for a stove that runs all night. It is dense, it coals well, and a properly seasoned oak load produces far less creosote than green wood or softwoods. If you are burning mostly for ambiance or a fire pit, the oak/cedar mix is a cheaper, faster-lighting option.

Because we are local, we can usually deliver to Anza, Lake Riverside Estates and the Terwilliger area within a few days of your call, weather permitting. Dirt roads and long driveways are normal here; just let us know where you want the pile.
